Travelling with a Baby & Car Seat TraininG

"Airlines commonly use larger planes, such as the Boeing 747-400, for long international flights. These larger planes have additional facilities for infants.These bassinets are a wonderful relief for parents traveling with a lap child during a long international flight. There are two bassinets available at each bulkhead. The bassinets collapse and are stored on the wall in front of the passenger seats. Bassinets must be stowed and secured during takeoff and landing."

Lessons Learned

• Always travel with a partner when flying with an infant.
• Start the trip as well rested as you can. Don’t stay up until 3 a.m. the night before.
• Stay hydrated.
• The extra seat is nice.
• Call ahead and get the bulkhead seat. Use the bassinet.
• Don’t care about what the people around you think.
  
• Don’t beat yourself up if you have done everything you can and still your baby is not comforted. You are not a bad parent.

Currently doing research (apart of my MSc. research hahaha) on tips flying with baby/infants and enjoy reading the stories of parents' experiences in the net/blog... due to preparation for our next family trip to Gold Coast & Sydney on dis coming May...Part of my concern was traveling with 1-year-old baby for about 10 hours journey (time tue mesti Raes melasak + gian nak berjalan sebab lama dlm flight 10 jam, agak mencabar compared to before)... After read few reviews and called the AirAsia agent, we decided to purchase the Hot seats for mE, mom & dad which has extra legroom and baby bassinet for lil Raes...Other than that, we also decided to fly by Jetstar from/to Gold Coast - Sydney... we think it's much much more comfortable for us compared by using the road since i've bring along a baby...

And starts now, we had trained lil Raes to sit in his new child - car seat (courtesy of tok mama) TQ mak *_* ... This is because in Australia baby are not allowed to sit on the lap of their parents... That's the rule!!! So far, Alhamdulillah my baby bam bam was happy with his new car seat... GOOD boy la cayang mama nie!!! :D

Let's Froyo @ Tutti Frutti

Tutti fruti is now open in BBBangi... it's just a kapel of minutes frm my houz, so yesterday evening mE, mom and lil Raes went to taste the YoFlavor yogurt (FROYO ~ Frozen Yogurt) which now become very popular osso healthier alternative to the ice-cream... The cute TF cafe situated in Sri Bangi (new shop lot) Seksyen 8, BBBangi below BUTIK MAMA and in the same row as HomeMart (new electrical shop)...

And, what's interesting about this dessert spot is not only the healthy froyo, but the fact that we can ''create'' our own cup of frozen yogurt with this 4 easiest steps - 1st: get cup size, 2nd:choose the flavor, 3rd: add toppings, 4th: weigh and pay...

From the moment we enter, we immediately saw stacks of cups in three sizes, with a poster explaining the step-by-step of how to 'create' our own cup of frozen yogurt... Right next to it there's a row of frozen yogurt dispensers with yummilicious flavors and since we're doing it ourselves so, we picked red velvet choc + just peach and kiwi flavours... and then move to topping section, and we added peaches, kiwi + dragon fruits + chocolate hershey syrup as a toppings...Finally, the moment of truth... weighing time - finding out how much you have to pay for all the goodies you've taken!!!, our FROYO costs about RM 18.70... quite expensive huh? mahal sikit la dari BR tapi yang nie frozen yogurt kan so takkan rasa muak mcm mkn aiskrim biasa...hehehe

so it's time to layan this FROYO ( sorry Raes, mama & tok mama je boleh makan...Raes mamam baby bites je ek..:p)

have caution though:
~ don't get too excited pumping setinggi gunung of the frozen yogurt, and dumping a gazilionn toppings in the cup - because you pay for what you take! you pay for the weigh!!! :D

Tooth Development in Babies

Weaning & Teething
The timing of the eruption of the first teeth can vary widely from three months to as late as 11 or 12 months. Try to introduce babies to ‘savoury’ foods, such as pureed vegetables and fruit. During teething babies may look a bit flushed and dribble more than usual. Babies often find comfort from the use of teething rings. Teething does not usually cause symptoms such as high temperatures. However when babies are distressed and have a slightly raised temperature they often respond very quickly to a dose of paracetamol suspension.

The exact dates will vary from child to child, but the following guide will give some idea of what to expect. Permanent tooth development in girls maybe more advanced than in boys.

Raes Zafran ~ 8-months-old

Alhamdulillah lil Raes is 8 months old today...What a busy little boy you are at 8 months old...You're such a happy baby and like to scream if cannot get the toys/things that you want.. whoa huhuhu...

You got pretty sick (demam nak tumbuh gigi) last week..you had mild fever, flu and cough...pity of u darling...

SO, What have you been up to??? Well...

• You've now able to sit without support... also you move confidently from a sitting position to being on all fours, and you can rock back and forth... =)
  
• You've also started to pull up on things, and hold on with one hand...
• Your Tooth popped through last week... On the bottom row of your mouth. It now REALLY hurts when you chew on us...
  
• You started saying few words "ma ma" (mama),"ba bah"(babah) , "atey tey tey"(when u happy & when u reach toys/thing in your hands) & "mam mam mam". (when u're hungry).. and when i repeat what u say, you just stare at me :D
  
• Now you keep trying to fall asleep on your side... it so sweet :p
  
• Like to tarik rambut... esp. rambut kakak qaisara (yang curly tue)...
• And now when strangers try and get you to smile,either u returned to smile or you wont do it (buat muka slamber je) ... It's pretty funny...:P But at home, getting you to smile is SO easy!!!
