DaRi sAtU ke tIgA

Last nite masa tgh susukan Raes sambil belek2 kepala kepala baby, i nampak 1 dot merah ( like kena gigit nyamuk) kt bhgn sblh kiri... i usap2 je bhgn tue sambil selawat without sapu any cream/mopiko/tyt... then masa Raes bangun menyusu kul 5 a.m, i noticed dari 1 dot merah skang dh jadi 3 dot merah plak.. trus gerak en. hubby yang lena tido, then dia kata may b kena gigit nyamuk kot... sambil2 tue i usap2, nk tgk reaction baby (kalu sakit kita sentuh sure dia nangis tapi baby ok, macam biasa)... pastu habis nenyusu Raes tido.... pagi kul 8.00 nk anta Raes g nursery, perasan 3 dot merah tu dh jadi like benjul kecik.. panik jap!!! + risau sgt ( ibu mana x risau kan tul tak???)... en. hubby dah g keje, terus call dia bgtau i cuti nk bawak baby check @ pakar kanak-kanak An-nur...

nampak tak 3 benjulzz merah???

@ An-nur meet his paed -Dr. Arbaiyah, then the doc said it just an allergy may b cause by mites due to contact with the pillow atau from sentuhan kita... its common and jangan risau sangat... but we have to monitor if dot merah tu bertambah atau muncul kat tempat lain plak... lega rasa, alhamdulillah :)... she gave Raes a cream (antibiotic) untuk sapu dekat 3 dot merah tue.... Osso today baby Raes was given his first dose of Pneumococcal vaccine... (optional for parents)... Pneumococcal vaccine is not included in the compulsory immunisation schedule. You need to check with your baby’s doctor about the vaccine... just like before he just cried a bit when the jab then after that senyap sambung tido kat tangan mama...:p

According to baby Raes’s paed, he will get 4 doses of vaccine... The second dose will be given on 4 months, third on 6 months and then the fourth when 12 months old...

Pneumococcal vaccine is quite pricey – normally about RM300++ per dose... At An-nur they offer a package (1-3 dose RmXXX and F.O.C for fourth dose)... So, we grabbed that!!!... The total for the whole vaccine is around RM1000.
Expensive eh? Not really. RM1000 is nothing compared to the life of your baby rite!!!

*****************
So, what’s Pneumoccocal vaccine???
You see, this vaccine, also called Prevnar, protects against pneumococcal (pronounced new-m’COCKL) infections – which mostly strike children under age 5... The infection can lead to some of the worst childhood diseases...According to the World Health Organization’s current estimates, one child dies of a pneumococcal disease every minute...
Pneumococcal infection can cause ear infection, sinus infection, pneumonia, blood infection (bacteremia), and meningitis (infection of the covering of the brain)... About 1 out of every 20 people who get pneumococcal pneumonia dies from it, as do about 2 out of every 10 who get bacteremia, and 3 out of 10 who get meningitis...
The infection is caused by pneumococcus bacteria, also known as Streptococcus pneumoniae... These bugs live in the mucous lining of the nose and in the back of the throat, and when plentiful enough can cause an infection in the respiratory tract, middle ear, or sinus cavities...
Pneumococcal bacteria are spread by close contact and through coughing and sneezing...Diseases such as meningitis and pneumonia can crop up within days of infection...
Symptoms of pneumococcal pneumonia usually include fever and chills with shaking or trembling, as well as chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, fatigue, and weakness...
Babies who are sent to day-care are at the highest risk of getting this terrible disease. So, it is wise to get your baby vaccinated as soon as possible...

Baby Raes b4 g hospital...
